The banding is two millimetres of the panel and the first thing that looks wrong if it does not match. We supply PVC banding matched to the board you are buying, in the same order, so the edge and the face arrive together.
PVC edge banding is the default edge for melamine faced furniture: tough, waterproof, cheap to run and available in a colour range that covers most decor codes. It is also the part of an order most often bought blind — a decor code on a screen, a banding colour from a different supplier, and a batch of furniture with edges that read as slightly the wrong grey.
Colour matching is the whole job, and it is done against a physical sample or a decor code from the board producer, never from a photograph. Texture matters as much as colour: a smooth band on an embossed board catches the light differently and shows the seam even when the colour is exact. Matte, gloss, embossed and soft-touch surfaces are all available, and we match to the board rather than to a swatch book.
Thickness is decided by where the edge sits. Thin banding for interior carcass edges that are rarely touched, heavier banding for doors, shelves and worktops that take impact. Pre-glued banding suits small shops and short runs; plain banding on a PUR line gives a tighter, more moisture-resistant joint.
Colour is approved against a physical sample or the board producer's decor code. Banding and boards are ordered together so both carry the same code.
Main loading port Qingdao. South America, Central Asia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia are where most of our current shipments go.
Send the decor code from the board producer, or a physical offcut. We match against that, not against a photograph. If the board is already on order with us, the code is on file and both arrive matched.
PVC is the standard: cheaper, tough, and available in the widest colour range. ABS is chosen where the buyer needs better heat resistance or where the destination market restricts PVC. We quote both when the specification allows.
It follows the edge, not the panel. Interior carcass edges take thin banding; doors, shelves and worktops take heavier banding because they absorb impact. Tell us where the edge sits and we quote the options.
Yes, and it is the cheaper way to buy it. Banding takes very little space, travels well, and arriving with the panels means one colour code instead of two.
It depends on the producer's minimum run for that colour and surface. Custom colours carry a higher minimum than stock codes, which is why we ask what volume you actually plan before recommending one.
Tell us your requirements — type, thickness, core species and quantity. We will quote within 24 hours.
